Severe Storms, Straight-Line Winds, and Flooding – Texas (2025)  

Secretary Kennedy used his authority under section 319 of the Public Health Service (PHS) Act to declare a public health emergency (PHE) for the State of Texas on July 08, 2025, giving us the flexibility to support our beneficiaries in Texas, effective retrospectively since July 02, 2025.

Hurricane Helene – Georgia (2024)  

Secretary Becerra used his authority under the Public Health Service Act to declare a public health emergency (PHE) for the State of Georgia on September 27, 2024, giving us the flexibility to support our beneficiaries in Georgia, effective retrospectively since September 24, 2024. Secretary Kennedy signed an extension of this PHE on June 12, 2025, effective June 21, 2025.
